Confessions of a Fabric-aholic: Nearly 14 yrs
ago I purchased a Loom from a man in MN named Bob. Bob turned out
to be quit the artist with making Looms. He cut and aged the wood, solid
oak, and is beautiful. For many years I wove rugs, and when I
began quilting, I set aside weaving. So the hundreds of pounds of
fabric that I had purchased ready for rugs sat and sat. During
this past spring I again looked at the closet that I had worked down to
my favorite balls for rugs and took them to to one of my Amish
friends, Fanny. I asked her to weave them for me and I had no idea
how many I would get.Thinking I would have some for gifts and enough for
my own, how wrong I was. Thirty one rugs, this is a few more than I
need, and I will be passing them on to my Quilting Friends. They
are excellent in quality, better than what I ever made. The edges of the
rugs are all bound and sewn with my industrial double needle Singer,
with poly thread,100 % cotton warp.
